How we work together
One dedicated maker, not an agency. Below you'll read exactly how a project runs — what happens at each phase, what you receive, what I need from you, and when you pay. No surprises.
In short
A website with MAAS·studio runs in four clear phases. You know the fixed price, the planning and the deliverables up front. You stay in control at every step: the build only starts after you approve the proposal.
| Phase | What happens | Lead time | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 · Audit | Measurement of your current site | 2–3 working days | Free |
| 2 · Mockup | Concrete design of your homepage | ±5 working days | Free |
| 3 · Proposal | Plan + fixed price | 1–2 working days | Free |
| 4 · Build & live | Build, test and launch | 4–6 weeks | Fixed price |
Phase 1 — Free audit (2–3 working days)
It starts with numbers, not a sales pitch. I measure your current website with Google Lighthouse on four points: speed, findability (SEO), accessibility and technical health.
What you receive
- An audit report (PDF) with scores and the three most important improvements;
- A concrete estimate of what this means for visitors and enquiries.
What I need from you
- Just the address of your current website. No site yet? Then we start straight at phase 2.
Phase 2 — Mockup (±5 working days)
You see your new website before deciding anything. I create a concrete design of your homepage, tailored to your sector and your customers — not a template, but a real proposal you can view in the browser.
What you receive
- An interactive mockup of your new homepage (desktop and mobile);
- A short explanation of the choices: structure, calls-to-action and findability.
What I need from you
- Your logo and any brand colours (if you have them);
- A short reaction: what appeals, what should change.
Phase 3 — Proposal & fixed price (1–2 working days)
Like the direction? You'll get a clear plan with phasing, deliverables and one fixed price up front. No surprise invoicing, no billing by the hour.
- Fixed price within a €2,500 – €4,000 band, depending on scope;
- Clear scope: number of pages, features and feedback rounds;
- Planning with a start date and expected launch.
The agreement only comes into being once you accept this proposal in writing (see the terms & conditions).
Phase 4 — Build & launch (4–6 weeks)
Now I build your website. One point of contact — no project managers between you and the developer.
What happens
- Build: the design becomes a fast, mobile-first website with a CMS, so you can manage text and photos yourself;
- SEO basics: structured data, sitemap and Google Search Console;
- Test: you get a test link and review the site; we process your feedback;
- Launch: migration, 301 redirects (so your Google ranking is preserved) and SSL.
What I need from you
- Final text and imagery (I help with the structure);
- Access to your domain/hosting, or permission to arrange it for you.
Aftercare (6 months included)
After launch you get 6 months of aftercare: bug-fixes and small corrections are included. You're not on your own once the site is live.
What's included — and what isn't
Included in the fixed price
- Fully responsive, mobile-first website;
- Ownership of design, code and content;
- CMS so you can update it yourself;
- SEO basics and 6 months of aftercare.
Not included (separate, transparent costs)
- Domain name: ±€15 per year;
- Hosting: ±€15 per month;
- Copywriting, professional photography or ongoing marketing — optional, by arrangement.
Payment
Simple and transparent:
- 50% on approval of the proposal (start of the build);
- 50% on delivery, before launch;
- Payment term 14 days, by bank transfer, iDEAL or SEPA. Amounts exclude 21% VAT.
Ownership & transfer
Everything made for you becomes yours: after full payment, design, code, content and domain transfer to you. No vendor lock-in, no hidden dependency on me.
Frequently asked questions
Do you work outside the Netherlands?
Yes. The studio is in Rotterdam, but I work fully remotely for businesses across the Netherlands and Europe. We collaborate via video call, email and a shared test environment.
In which language can the website be?
Any language you want, and multilingual if you wish — just like this website itself.
What if I want to change something during the build?
Small adjustments we handle along the way. Larger changes outside the agreed scope we discuss in advance, so the fixed price stays fixed.
How fast can I go live?
Expect 4–6 weeks from approval, depending on how quickly text and images are available.
